Money

What does it cost?

Nothing to join and nothing monthly. We take 10% of each membership fee, and nothing else.

Printed launch packs are optional extras. The print-ready files are free.

How do I get paid?

Members pay through Stripe, straight into your own Stripe account. You're the seller of the membership, so the money is yours from the start. Every payment shows in your dashboard.

What about VAT and card fees?

You pay VAT and card fees on your share, as with any sale. We never claim you keep 90% after tax.

Is there a contract?

No. You can pause or close your card from your dashboard. Members are told first.

Won't my regulars just pay less?

The limits cap what any one member can use: 4 half price drinks a week on our suggested card. Your dashboard shows how members use it, and you can change the deal any time.

The money comes from the membership fees, from members who come in more often, and from the mates they bring who pay full price.

Your card

What's the recommended card?

Half price house drinks, up to 2 a night and 4 a week, any day, any time, for £9.99 a month. It's the card we recommend, and the one pre-selected when you sign up.

What can I change?

Pick one of three presets: Recommended, Steady (half price on the first drink each visit, up to 4 a week) or Midweek (Monday to Thursday only). Then fine-tune: the discount (10% to 50%), drinks a night (1 to 3), drinks a week (1 to 7), the days (at least 3), the price (£4.99 to £19.99 a month) and an annual plan.

What's the card called?

Your pub's name, then “Regz card”: for example, the Brass Pig Regz card. Your name, colour and logo lead; a small Regz strip runs along the bottom.

Can I change the deal later?

Yes, from your dashboard. Existing members are emailed at least 7 days before a change applies, and can cancel before it does.

Can I offer free drinks or unlimited use?

No. Every card has a nightly and a weekly limit, and the discount is never deeper than 50%. No free drinks, no 2-for-1, and nothing that rewards drinking more. That keeps it good for your bar and within the rules on drinks promotions.

Does my card work at other pubs?

No. Your card only works at your pub, and says so: “Only at” your pub's name sits under the name on every card.

At the bar

Do I need new kit?

No. No scanner, no till changes, no app for staff. Members show a live screen on their phone and your staff tap once to confirm.

How do staff know it's real?

The live screen shows the member's name, your pub's name and a clock that ticks every second, with a two minute countdown. A screenshot doesn't tick.

Who checks the limits?

Regz does, every time a member taps “Use a drink”. If they've used tonight's or this week's drinks, the card says so. The night resets at 3am and the week on Monday at 3am.

What about age checks?

Members confirm they're 18 or over before they pay. Your staff check ID as they normally would.

Your members

Who owns the customers?

You do. Members join your pub's card, and you can see who they are and how often they come.

How do people join?

They scan your QR code on the bar, a table talker or a poster, pay on their phone and can use their first drink straight away.

Will Regz find members for me?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Your card only works if people know about it. Regz gives you everything you need to launch; the launch itself is yours: posters and table talkers up, staff mentioning it at the bar, a post on launch day, and 14 days of keeping at it.

Does it run itself?

Not at first. The card, payments, limits and the screen at the bar all run themselves. Getting members doesn't: that comes from your launch. After the 14 days, keep the posters up and let your members spread the word.

Can members cancel?

Yes, any time, from their account. The card works until the end of the month they've paid for.

Getting started

How long does sign-up take?

A few minutes for your details and card. Stripe then checks your identity and bank details.

When can I go live?

The day you're set up. Pick a separate launch day for when your posters and table talkers are up.

What does a proper launch look like?

Pick a busy night. Posters and table talkers up before it, staff briefed to ask “Have you got our Regz card?” at every order, and a post on your socials on the day. Then keep it going for 14 days, with a check-in from us on days 3, 7, 11 and 14. That's where your first members come from. Aim for 100; it depends on the launch you put in.

How much could it pay me?

At the suggested £9.99, about £899 a month paid to you at 100 members, before VAT and card fees. We don't promise member numbers: they come from your launch. The calculator on the pricing page works it out from your own figures.

Which venues can join?

Pubs, bars and late venues in England. Scotland and Wales follow soon. Regz isn't available in Northern Ireland.

Do I need to talk to anyone?

No, you can do it all online. If you'd like a hand, get in touch and we'll help you set up your card.

Is the dashboard ready?

We're finishing it now. Tell us about your pub and we'll email you when it's ready for you to set up. We don't give dates we can't promise.

Got a card?

Questions from members.

For members

What is a Regz card?

A members card for one pub, with the pub's name on it, like the Brass Pig Regz card. You pay the pub monthly and get a discount on its house drinks, within a nightly and a weekly limit.

Can I use it at other pubs?

No. Each card only works at the pub named on it. If your other local has one too, that's a separate card.

How do I use a drink?

Open your card at the bar, tap “Use a drink” and show the live screen. Staff tap Claimed and your drinks left update.

How do I cancel?

Log in to your account and cancel any time. Your card works until the end of the month you've paid for.

Can I get a refund?

If you change your mind within 14 days and haven't used a drink yet, you get a full refund.
